BROWN BEAR TREKKING AND SIGHTING

WHAT WILL YOU DO :

This activity is designed to make you live a fantastic experience in nature.

It focuses on the discovery of a famous species at risk; that of the bear Bruno Marsicano, which today counts between 50 and 70 specimens and is the symbol of the National Park of Abruzzo Lazio e Molise.

It is divided into two activities; trekking and visit in the Brown Bear Wildlife Area of Palena.

TRIP DETAILS

We will trek to the Marsican Brown Bear habitat, where we will look for signs of the passing of the bear and discover during the walk everything you need to know about this beloved species.

At the end of the excursion, after a short break; we will move to the Maiella National Park Wildlife Area dedicated to the Brown Bear, where together with a guide from the Center will try to spot the guests of the Protected Area.

We will cross the beech forest and discover the places where shepherds of the past lived and brought their flocks to graze

We will then reach the Fuente del Tocchito, the highest point of our excursion at about 1500 meters above sea level, where we will take a short break before heading back to the next fountain.
We will discover the healing properties of the sulphurous water spring, very different from the other two sources seen above.
