VISIT IN THE FOREST OF SANT'ANTONIO

WHAT WILL YOU DO :

The Bosco di S. Antonio is one of the most important natural areas in Italy, always remained in the collective imagination as a synonym for fairy-tale landscapes.

The forest extends over 550 hectares on an area that has been removed from the trees to provide shelter for livestock.
In addition to beech, there grow specimens of maple, oak, wild pear, yew, holly, cerro and the rare Cordato Perillo.
It is inhabited by valuable animal species such as the white-backed woodpecker, the Dalmatian woodpecker, the Catfish, the wolf, the bear and the wild cat.


TRIP DETAILS

The activity focuses on the discovery of nature and fungi (as far as possible, based on the growing period), the recognition of edible and medicinal plants.

We will meet the guide at the parking lot located outside the village of Pescocostanzo.

We will go for a beautiful trekking to discover the natural beauty of the Bosco di Sant'Antonio, we will discover the famous and imposing monumental trees.

Along the route we will discover the edible plants of the Wood and meet the Hermitage of Saint Anthony,
We will make a short stop in the structure to be able to admire it more closely, then start again at the end of the ring trail.
