TOUR MADDALENA FROM OLBIA

WHAT WILL YOU DO :

The tour of La Maddalena is one of the most requested and appreciated by tourists visiting Sardinia. The excursion departs from Olbia by minivan at 8:00 am to reach the port of Cannigione, where the embarkation on the boat is scheduled for 9:00 am, to explore the archipelago of La Maddalena.

TRIP DETAILS

During the navigation, you go along the islands of Caprera and Santo Stefano to reach the island of La Maddalena, the only inhabited of the archipelago, where there is a stop of about an hour. Founded in 1770, La Maddalena overlooks the village of Palau, twenty minutes by ferry. During the break, you can go shopping, visit the old town, the Town Hall (which houses an unexploded bomb fired by Napoleon’s troops during a French expedition), the Naval Museum and the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art.

Resuming navigation, we will continue to the most beautiful islands of the archipelago, in particular Spargi and Santa Maria. Here you will make stops of about an hour to swim in the crystal clear waters, snorkel or relax in the sun on the beach.

At lunchtime, a first course of tomato pasta prepared by the crew will be served on board. Afterwards, the navigation will resume for a panoramic tour to the Mantle of the Madonna, a stretch of sea with low depths, and to skirt the island of Budelli, famous for its pink beach. On the way back, you will pass Punta Sardegna, Porto Raphael, Palau and Capo d'Orso.

The return to Cannigione is scheduled between 17:00 and 17:30, where you will take the minivan back to the starting point.
