TRIP DETAILS

The following draft itinerary is not strictly intended, but may be subject to variations in relation to the will of the crew, weather conditions, and the regular operation and navigability of canals and rivers.

Day 1
It is time to arrive at the base and check in, which takes place until about 6 pm. At this stage, the Group Leader training briefing is also held, participants meet, familiarize themselves with the boat and the crew. At the end of the day a short sailing trip leads to one of the historical centres of the Sile River Nature Park.

Day 2
After a navigation in the Sile River Park, you can access the Venice lagoon from the north, visiting some of the most remote and uncontaminated areas of the lagoon itself. We then reach Burano, the island of a thousand colours, traditional lace and delicious "buranei" biscuits. From here you can proceed to visit the archaeological area of Torcello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 3
An early morning detour to the island of St. Francis of the desert, to visit the sixteenth-century monastery, is the prelude to navigation through the natural park of the northern lagoon, a true natural oasis. The day can be concluded at the Cavallino seaside coast, for a dip in the sea and a relaxing stop.

Day 4
We proceed towards Venice, where we arrive in the afternoon; the most beautiful city in the world welcomes us with a spectacular view of its most famous attractions, seen from the unusual point of view of the water, just as boatmen did hundreds of years ago, when Venice was not connected to the hinterland.

Day 5
Sailing along the fishing island of Pellestrina is attractive and quiet, and at the end of the day Chioggia welcomes us to the historic centre, with its traditional boats, its famous fish market, its warm atmosphere and its typical restaurants.

Day 6
After a dip in the sea and a session of relaxing beach you will sail to the remote island of Sant'Erasmo, called the vegetable garden of Venice, where you can buy local products, make an unexpected excursion by bike, visit the original Venetian vineyards.

Day 7
It is the day of the return navigation in the direction of the departure base. You navigate the fresh water of the river Sile and arrive at the base in the afternoon. We suggest you spend the last half day visiting the historic centre of Treviso, a spectacular and lively medieval city, monumental and welcoming. It can also be reached by bike using the bicycle path provided at the base.
